Standing Up for Yourself Oracle Card Reading
Today I pulled the Bravado / Warrior Guides card from the Ask Your Guides oracle card deck by Sonia Choquette. When I ask for the Divine Guidance for this card, this is what comes to mind:
- Stand up for yourself in a respectful way if something is opposing you but be sure it is something worth standing up for. If it’s some minor disagreement, maybe it’s best to let it go. If it’s something that affects your life, it is probably worth standing up for.
- When you stand up for yourself, you are respecting yourself and will most likely gain the respect of others; sometimes not, but that is about them, not you
- Standing up for yourself does not mean fighting. Just say what you have to say and stick to the facts in a respectful way.
- If who you are speaking with does not see or respect your point of view, accept that but don’t take it personally; know that is usually about themselves.
- Be open to hearing and considering the other side of the situation
- After you have stood up for yourself and heard the other side of it, take time to make a decision that is best for yourself. Never react emotionally. Reflect and respond when you feel calm and ready.
- If a situation isn’t working for you, know that it is not a bad thing; it is only leading you to what you really do want

An Example of What Controlling Your Thoughts Can Do for You!
Yesterday at work started out to be a ‘bad’ day. There has been mistakes happening for a couple months now and the fingers are being pointed at me. I have been taking the blame and doing everything I know to prevent any mistakes from happening. The fingers started pointing again yesterday morning. By this point I knew without a doubt it could not be me because I have been double and triple checking my work. So that spurred me on to dig at what the problem was. I found it. It was the ones who are pointing fingers making mistakes. Unfortunately these two are the owners of the company. I haven’t called them on it yet, knowing that a previous attempt to call them on it only backfired on me. My one boss found a way to still put it on me.
It felt like an impossible situation, however, knowing what I know about the law of attraction, I worked with it. I began to tell myself that this job is only temporary until I find something that works for me in self-employment. That I will be free from having to work for someone else soon. To not let their accusations get to me since I know they are not true. I actually began to feel good and thankful that they were doing this because it was expanding my thinking, rather than being content and stagnant with the job.
I got through the day, only a little stressed but basically happy. I had no attitude with them, did my job the best I could still double- and triple-checking. Besides the pointing fingers in the morning, the 2 bosses were pleasant. Figured I’d keep doing what I was doing and follow my inspirations knowing they would lead me to what I want, all the while my dream of self-employment was getting stronger. Had no idea what I was going to do, but had faith ideas would come based on what I want. I didn’t put any effort in, didn’t ‘try’ to think of ideas, didn’t resist anything, just kept myself in a good-feeling state.
This morning I woke up with thoughts that just came to me out of nowhere. I work for a tool store… it is a ‘candy store’ for men and successful because of this and because the owners find low-cost wholesale tools to sell retail. I started to get thoughts of how I could do the same thing, then I wondered what type of product would I be able to purchase inexpensively and would be something that would turn over quickly. A few ideas came to mind, I researched a bit and within a few hours I had purchased an inventory of items that I know will sell well for way over the cost of what I paid for them. I am pumped!! Mainly because I witnessed what controlling my thoughts can do, but also excited at the inspired thoughts and where all this will lead.
This is an example of how ‘bad’ situations can lead you to what you want!

It is sometimes very difficult to distinguish between our love and our attachment for others, but when we are able to do so, we will see that it is invariably the attachment that is the cause of our suffering. Pure unconditional love never causes any pain or worry but only peace and joy.
